EMS Preparation

The use of electrical impulses to induce muscular contractions is known as EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation). A device generates the impulses, which are then sent to the skin surface above the muscles, where they are activated by electrodes. The desires cause the muscles to contract, giving the illusion of genuine muscular motion and contractions.

Hybrid Education

This is a hybrid training strategy that combines traditional and EMS training to help you reach your optimum fitness potential. The hybrid model is the greatest programme for someone who wants to increase lean muscle, burn fat, increase strength, lose weight, and enhance stamina.

Weight Loss Under Medical Supervision

Dr. Farida Jeejeebhoy, a cardiologist, Serge Zinyuk, a wellness specialist, and Dr. Khursheed Jeejeebhoy, a nutritionist/gastroenterologist, devised and lead the medically supervised curriculum at the IFIT ZONE Studio. Our goal is to provide patients with a safe and convenient training regimen.

Most Commonly Asked Questions

What Is Ems Training and How Does It Work?

Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) training is a type of exercise that involves wearing a fitness device that attaches to your body and stimulate muscles with small electrodes, speeding up your workout and increasing the benefits of your body toning.

What is the Process of Ems Training?

EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) is an innovative technique to exercise without needing to go to the gym. To acquire a killer figure on the beach, all you need is one or two 20-minute exercises each week. It works by sending low-frequency electric impulses to contract your muscles as you exercise.

Ems Training Burns How Many Calories?

EMS is a cutting-edge wave technology that allows you to burn up to 500 calories in a single 20-minute training session.

What Are The Most Important Advantages Of Ems Training?

EMS promotes a high level of metabolic activity during and for several hours following a training session. The faster your metabolism speeds up, the more fat you'll shed and the more lean muscle mass you'll gain. EMS exercise has been shown to reduce the size of common problem regions in women, such as the belly, hips, and thighs.

Is Ems Training Effective in Recovering from Injuries?

With EMS exercise, you may target specific pain regions, strengthen deficient muscle groups, and focus on muscle stabilisation. Inactive muscles, on the other hand, can be healed and regenerated more effectively using full-body EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) therapy.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) #1

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) or electromyostimulation, is a procedure that uses electrical impulses to directly activate your motor neurons to elicit muscle contractions. An EMS unit (such as a Powerdot, Compex, Tone-A-Matic, or MarcPro) offers this in the privacy of your own home.

Muscle contractions may be swift and frequent, rapid with extended pauses, or held for numerous (uncomfortable) seconds or minutes at a time as a result of this stimulation.

Normally, your brain sends electrical signals via your central nervous system to your muscles, which your body fires (CNS). An EMS device, on the other hand, enables you to perform deep, powerful, and full muscle contractions without activating (or straining) your CNS, joints, or tendons.

The best part is that your body can't tell the difference between a voluntary and an electrically triggered contraction. Your (weird) body only detects the stimuli and responds appropriately.

Don't worry if this seems a bit strange—science backs it up.

The Journal of Strength and Conditioning conducted a research that looked at whether or not EMS may assist top athletes improve their performance. “The data demonstrates that, despite their existing high level of fitness, trained and elite athletes are able to dramatically boost their level of strength to the same amount as untrained subjects,” they concluded.

“EMS provides a viable alternative to conventional strength training for boosting strength metrics and motor skills in athletes,” the researchers concluded in that study.

Another research from 2015, titled “Effects of high-frequency current treatment on abdominal obesity in young women: a randomised controlled trial,” shows the usefulness of EMS in a different way. This research looked at whether EMS may help you shed body fat rather than fitness levels.

A set of volunteers underwent 30 minutes of high-frequency current treatment via a set of electrodes on their tummies in this research. For six weeks, the participants participated in these sessions three times a week. The waist circumference, BMI, subcutaneous fat mass (fat underneath the skin), and total body fat percentage of the participants were all assessed after six weeks.

Surprisingly, the EMS had a significant effect on waist circumference, abdominal obesity, subcutaneous fat mass, and body fat percentage without requiring the participants to change their exercise or diet, leading the researchers to conclude: “The use of high-frequency current therapy may be beneficial for reducing the levels of abdominal obesity in young women.”
